The training unit is mainly responsible for overseeing implementation of the national "Security and Justice" session and the regional "Security and Justice" sessions for young people, students and those involved in local security from the public and private sector. It also plays a supporting role of designing training for the implementation of mainly cross-cutting training sessions for various departments.

REGIONAL "YOUTH" SESSIONS
This training programme has four main objectives :
- raise awareness amongst students regarding security, justice and economic intelligence security issues;
- bring university teaching closer to professional practice;
- complement young professionals' training for a global approach to the issues of security and justice;
- encourage dialogue at a regional level between security and those involved in justice.
These sessions are carried out with the support of top-ranking colleges with which the Institute has partnerships: ENM Bordeaux, ENSP Lyon, ENP Roubaix, EHESP Rennes, ENSOPS Aix en Provence, OEGN Ile-de-France and ENA Strasbourg.
The unit is directed by Marc Barbier.
Marc Barbier - Brief Biography
The training unit has been directed by the Chief Superintendent Marc Barbier since January 1 2010, who, from 2006 was the deputy director of the "Training, Studies and Research" department at the French National Institute for Advanced Studies in Security (INHES). Before that, from 1994 to 2006, Marc Barbier was deputy director then director of the section "Analysis and Forecasting" at the Central General Intelligence Directorate (DCRG).
